google map annoying slow zoom
-
Zoom doesn't work smooth, has an annoying delay.
-
@ziutkownik It seems to be super smooth here, in a clean profile of Vivaldi 6.0 Stable, Windows 10 x64.
Please try the troubleshooting steps, including testing in a clean profile and disabling adblocking/extensions:

@ziutkownik I see smooth zooming in google maps as in any chrome-based browser
-
Sorry, it is not problem only of map, it is problem on any tab - so, probably because of 143 tabs are opened.
I've switched off option "always load pined cards". What can I do more to help Vivaldy handle many cards/tabs?? -
@ziutkownik
Hi, this is not to much, on my 16GB system I can handle 300 tabs then it starts lagging.
You can test this with hibernate background tabs, right click on a tab and choose it:This send all background tabs to sleep and the active tab should be fast again.
There are some other tricks but the best trick is more memory.Please add your system specs, Windows version, CPU, RAM.

Thanks, but it doesn't help. I have 32GB ram. About 100 tabs, all hibernated and everything work slowly, 2-5s of delay. Firefox with 115 tabs work fast in this same time on this same machine. I hope Vivaldi will be able too soon.

@ziutkownik
Hi again, something is blocking/slowdown Vivaldi on your system.
The usual suspects are:- Third party security software
Avast, Kaspersky and others work fine with Chrome, Brave, Edge but cause issues, block or even crash Vivaldi - Extensions
Chrome extensions can work in Vivaldi but many cause issues, slowdown specially VPN, security, cookie extensions.
With 32GB Ram and a modern CPU you can handle hundreds of tabs in several windows and play 4K videos at the same time.
I can do with AMD Ryzen 7 4700G 16 GB, Radeon Graphics on Windows 11 and Linux.Cheers, mib

Better use openstreetmaps which is FOSS
