pdf document links become chrome-extension://.../index.html
-
When sending a link from an open pdf document via extension "Send from Gmail (by Google),
- Chrome and Edge insert the link to the pdf,
- Vivaldi puts chrome-extension://mhjfbmdgcfjbbpaeojofohoefgiehjai/index.html (link to extension I guess).

I opened a test pdf: https://www.orimi.com/pdf-test.pdf
-
I clicked the Send from Gmail icon and a new window opened with the following url:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?fs=1&tf=cm&su=PDF+Test+Page&body=https://www.orimi.com/pdf-test.pdf
Result:
So from a quick test, looks like it works fine in Vivaldi 6.0 at least.
Please try the troubleshooting steps, including testing in a clean profile and disabling adblocking/extensions:
