Allow to move to previous/next tab between workspaces
-
Hi,
I'm really loving the new workspaces tab organization but I'm experiencing a productivity issue when it comes to going back to the previous tab.
I'm a big user of keyboard shortcuts to move between tabs, I'm used to CTRL+TAB to move between the previously visited tab.
Now this is not working among workspaces, forcing me to do multiple clicks to move between tabs that are located in different workspaces. Please add an option to enable for cross-workpace tabs navigation.
I'm personally using different workspaces for "Socials", "Mails", "Management", "Development", etc.. In my case the functional separation of the workspaces can often be thin, thus the need of quickly switching between tabs of different workspaces.
Hope this can be taken into consideration.
Cheers,

Hi!
I think this is a wonderful idea and was quite surprised to find it wasn't implemented already. I got excited about the new workspaces as it seems to be a better way to do what I was doing with tab stacks before. I unstacked my tabs inside different workspaces just to find out I could no longer cycle around all my tabs with CTRL + TAB. It would be great to have cross workspace tab cycling as an option.
Regardless, my favorite browser got better again with the latest update. Thanks to the Vivaldi team!

Voted. I tried workspace with Windows panel and loved it, until I found out that Ctrl+Tab doesn't work across workspaces. Had to revert back to use tabs stacks

@TMich Set up shortcuts to move to other workspaces.
- Ctrl+Shfit+1 = Switch to Workspace 1
- Ctrl+Shfit+2 = Switch to Workspace 2
- Ctrl+Shfit+3 = Switch to Workspace 3, etc.

@Pesala thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't solve the issue stated in the original post. I've already set a shortcut prior to the last update, but having two commands to achieve the same thing is not comfortable and quite confusing.
It would be very nice if there was an option to allow, via a single shortcut (e.g. the predefined CTRL+TAB), to get back to the previous visited tab even if this is in a different workspace.Cheers,

@TMich It is not possible to assign a single shortcut to two functions. If Ctrl+Shift+Tab is used for Previous Tab, you must use a different shortcut to switch to the previous workspace. Try this:
- Alt+PageUp = Previous Workspace
- Alt+PageDown = Next workspace.
