Ads and trackers.

Guys, I know that the Vivaldi browser blocks ads and trackers by default. preventing me from using plugins like origin block to do the blocking service.
I know very well that the origin block is always updated to its domain lists and filters to be able to block.
My question is, the list of filters and domains in Vivaldi since the Vivaldi browser already comes with the ad and tracker blocker. Where is this list updated by Vivaldi? Where can I check if it has been updated? -
@carlinhosnewstyle You can open Settings → Privacy → Manage Sources, watch the listed date is the last update. With context menu → Copy List Origin you get the URL where the list is hosted on Vivalsi server.
You can force a update by untick and tick the checkbox of a entry. -
@DoctorG Thanks for your clarification. I wanted to ask one more question.
Based on this website that tests Tracking and Privacy, why is testing with VIVALDI so bad compared to other browsers? follow the link below.

@carlinhosnewstyle First of all, it's not turned on by default. You can choose to turn it on or not when you first install Vivaldi.
Second, it in no way prevents you from using Ublock Origin (I assume that's what you meant) even if it is enabled.
Third, you can see how recently a list in Vivaldi's ad blocker updated by going into Settings, then Privacy and Security, then click on the Manage Sources button. That will show you your installed and enabled (check mark) lists, and when they last updated.
Mine seem to be every couple of days.

Vivaldi does not prevent you from using uBlock Origin. It is just not recommended to run both the Vivaldi blocker and another adblocking extension at the same time.
This has been discussed to death already in several topics. Please search the forum.

See the github page for privacytests dot org to see how the program works and its developement over the past year (if you are a coder). It is well beyond my scope.
Personally, I would use the EFF tools (at eff dot org) as I have been using their resources and tools for many years. Not to say that privacytests dot org is not valid, it seems to have some quite able and legit followers and developers but it still seems a Work in Progess.
