I don't believe this... It's just a very small innocent security fix, what could go wrong? Video acceleration stopped working again (and I can't install the previous stable build somehow, something about dependence).

@Panino I can not see that Hardware Acceleration was deactivated after update on my Ubuntu 22 / Wayland / Intel HD 2500.

I use the system border colors, but another thick border appears in vivaldi when this feature is enabled. It's annoying. I would like to color the tab bars as they are!
Still quite confused with the additional search window (why is it needed at all?) You can’t disable it, but you can remove it from the browser panel ... The same with the built-in image search, it does not work correctly (does not recognize some types of images), but you can’t disable it. Extensions work well for this!
In general, there are a lot of such misunderstandings, which together create a bad interface.

Hi, I guess a lot of misunderstandings are comming from not to know how Vivaldi work.
You can remove the search window, the image search engine is from Google or Mircrosoft or add one by yourself.
I think you meant Native Window with system border colors but I don´t understand what you mean with thick border appears.
Please open a new thread in the support area for your OS to get help to get this sorted out.

This happened to me as well, but in the snapshot channel (which I think went from 110 to 112).

I run Vivaldi with the switch: --use-gl=egl

It seems that if I remove the egl switch, then hardware acceleration works again.

Unfortunately, I need --use-gl=egl because of a Chromium bug that prevents running at 144Hz when using multiple monitors with different refresh rates.

Hi, you can remove the search field, right click on any icon in the toolbar > Edit > Customize.
Move the field out of the toolbar, release mouse.
If you don´t like image search of Google or Bing simply don´t use it
