Can't sign into Google account on Google Maps

When I click the Sign In button in the upper right on the www.google.com/maps, the screen/page just flashes a bit and returns to the exact same view; no e-mail and password window appears in which to enter my credentials. In fact, I shouldn't even have to sign in on this page; I can sign in on the www.google.com with no problem, and when I select Maps from the application icon, it should open the maps page under my account; but that doesn't work either.

Having the same exact issue. All other Google services seem to work without issue. I've reviewed my privacy and cookie settings and don't see anything that I would think would be causing it.

Thanks Doc! Disabling hardware acceleration fixed the issue for me.
