Workspaces experiment
-
The snapshot version of Vivaldi's desktop browser currently lets users try out named workspaces, collections of tabs each separate from the others...all in one window. But did you know that this experiment is available for the 5.7 stable release?
Just putvivaldi://experiments/
into the address bar and go!
Check the box for Workspaces and you're set.Enjoy yet another way to organize your tabs!
(Ask any Opera user how convenient this can be...) -
And there's an interesting quirk: Tabs segregated by a Workspace designation are available from any open browser window!
(I wonder if this was intentional?

Switched to Vivaldi from Safari because I wanted a daily driver on Chromium but was also looking for great tab management functionality. I love the browser now that I know about this feature, it's basically like Safari Workspaces and apart from a few potential improvements like manually changing their order they already have everything I need to organize my browsing by different areas of responsibility.
I very much hope that it will be out of the experiment phase asap!
