vivaldi won't use proxy settings in windows 10/11
hi
my ssh proxy server's listen port is to 127.0.0.1:1081
IT WORKS ON FIREFOX
IT WORKS ON CHROME
IT WORKS ON EDGE
BUT IT DOESN'T WORK ON VIVALDIin settings -> Network -> Proxies -> Proxy Settings when I try to configure proxy it sends me to windows Proxy Settings Window which is already configured.
as I already stated It works on the entire pc and only vivaldi doesn't use system proxy settings and I don't know how to change that.
what do I do?

@LovelyBloom My proxy for test listened at 127.0.0.1:8080, had a Windows Setting > Proxy and it worked with Vivaldi 5.6.2867.62 Win 11 22H2.
What does the log of your proxy say?
-
@DoctorG the log doesn't say anything. vivaldi's connecting directly. it's not using system's proxy
-
@DoctorG but now that I'm using firefox and downloading visual studio 2022, I can see Bitvise SSH Client's log at bottom that it's connecting successfully
-
@LovelyBloom SSH proxy? Vivaldi does not support SSH/SFTP/SCP as client.
Do you use some SSH tunnel for browsing the WWW?
-
@DoctorG no nothing like that. the server connection is SSH. the proxy is HTTP/Socks configured at 127.0.0.1:1080 listen port. so no it's not SSH/SFTP/SCP. Bitvise SSH Client will make an SSH connection to the proxy server and I'll enable listen port which is both http and socks
