Have the bugs in the 5.6 version of the extensions been fixed?
-
Using some Chrome extensions may cause the browser to crash and exit when opening the extension's internal settings menu or options. Currently using Dewey, a Twitter bookmark synchronization extension, clicking the Full Screen option within the extension will definitely cause a crash in version 5.6, so I am still using version 5.5. I also found that clicking the settings within the interface of some extensions in version 5.5 will cause a crash.
There is also a bug where using the drag and drop method to separate a tab into a separate tab will cause the browser to crash with a certain probability when using multiple tabs. The configuration is R5 5600+48G RAM. These are issues encountered in version 5.5, and I don't know if version 5.6 has the same problems. -
@kidmo Install 5.6 as a Standalone version, and install the extension to test it.
Usually, the author of the extension needs to fix bugs in their code, which may be due to updates to the Chromium code.
Report the bug to them, as well as to Vivaldi, if you haven't already done so.

The problem still exists, version 5.6.2867.50. I recently switched from Chrome to Vivaldi last week and installed all the same extensions as I had in Chrome, which never had any issues. After repeatedly reinstalling different versions of Windows last week, I tested the installation of version 5.6 and experienced this crash and exit problem each time. I tried to use the developer mode to collect error messages from the extension apps, but it didn't seem to have any effect.
