Dead bird icon in panels
-
Hello everyone !
Since last update (5.6.2867.50, stable channel), on Windows 10 (22H2, build 19045.2364), all my panels show the dead bird icon, whatever the website is (as you can see in the screenshot) :
However, the everything is fine in private mode. What I did before posting :
- relaunch the browser
- launch the browser in Admin mod
- clean the cache from µblock origin
- restart the computer, then retry with/without Admin
But nothing works.
I can provide all .dmp files if needed. -

Hi, looks like this is a Twitter panel, I cant test this but I get no dead birds in any of my web panels. If it work in a private window the first thing I would check is extensions.
Edit your desktop short cut and add --disable-extensions at the end. Vivaldi start without extensions then.https://www.digitalcitizen.life/shortcut-arguments-parameters-windows/

Thanks for the answer @mib2berlin. Effectively, that's Twitter, but the misfunction is also on the others panels (here Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger, Google News and France Info).
I though the extentions didn't interract with the panel : I was wrong.
So after investigating, it's the WebRTC Protect - Protect IP Leak (version 0.2.1, last updated ... yesterday, 12/20/22) extention causing the problem, and after desactivating it, panels works fine.
But why only on panels and not in the main browser ?

Many user would really like when extensions work in web panels, the most does not.
No idea why this extension does this.
Btw. you can disable WebRTC in Settings > Privacy:Hm, maybe this setting collide with the extension?
