Confirmation emails from HWInfo forum do not arrive
-
I signed up at HWInfo forums, https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/ , and did not receive confirmation emails to both my Vivaldi email address. Signing up using a gmail account did work: the confirmation email arrived there.
I did an inquiry at the HWinfo forums and they stated the problem is on Vivaldi's end: "E-mails are always sent so the problem must be on the recipient side. Several servers refuse e-mails based on very strict rules."
Could anybody from Vivaldi mail shine a light on this?

@EricJH
Hi I create an account and can verify, I don´t get the confirmation mail on [email protected], I checked this with the web interface, too.
You can report this as bug, I can confirm it internally.For information on how to report a bug, see this URL: https://vvld.in/how-to-report-bugs
Once that is done, please share the bug number(beginning with VB-). Thanks.
On the form, you can add your email address. Once submitted, you'll get a confirmation. You can reply to this with any logs or further info.Cheers, mib

I submitted a bug report. I wasn't given a bug report number starting with VB but issue reference 08825376140. VB may be for bug reports with the browser?

@EricJH
I am sorry, I cant find a bug with this number, trying further.
Did you add a link to this thread?
Send a mail in reply of the confirmation mail and the text is automatically added as comment to the report.Cheers, mib

I may have added a link to this thread but I am not completely certain.
So I sent a reply email with the link to this topic.
I hope that is what you meant.

It took a while but I got a response from Vivaldi Team:
blockquote Hi,Thanks for reaching out to us, and sorry for the trouble.
We have investigated this issue, and it looks like the configuration of the host.hwinfo.com server is incorrect. The forward DNS record is different from the reverse DNS record. The messages are being rejected because our server is unable to find the hostname of the sender. Unfortunately, this issue needs to be fixed by the hwinfo.com administrators.I have posted this reply at the HWInfo forums.
