Custom theme background resets to default grey
-
Good day. Just as the title says, for some unknown reason my custom background resets every time I shut down the PC, or even by just closing the browser sometimes. I tried saving the theme, changing the picture's folder (I even tried creating the folder inside of Vivaldi's folder) Using different images with different sizes and resolutions, but nothing works so far. Vivaldi is up to date (I check manually from time to time, hoping for some update to fix it, but nothing so far) Funny enough, the custom background works just fine on my laptop, without the need to do anything in particular, not even saving the theme- just pick an image and it will stay until changed, as intended. I even tried using the same pictures on both desktop and laptop, but the problem persists. What I could do to fix it? The most puzzling thing is that I recently upgraded my desktop and this problem persisted from my old computer to the new one (except for the GPU- perhaps it's related to it? it's an RTX 2070 super)
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas! -
@LeCaster Had you created a own theme with own name and save it?
I remember that editing pre-defined themes can somtimes have issues. -
@DoctorG I think that just might be the problem. I just create a new theme from scratch instead of editing an existing one and my background seems to stay. I'll post here if this solves the problem for good.
I still find very weird that my laptop's works just fine, since I also edited an existing one there.
In any case, thanks! -
@LeCaster
Hi, this is a bug but I need 12 restarts to get it to show up on my system.
This is fixed internal and will be included in feature update.Cheers, mib
