Difference between PWA and "create shortcut"

Is there a difference progressive web app and "create shortcut" with window option checked? The final result seems like the same.

@krv1 Not sure - I think it's just a hack by Vivaldi to allow any site to be set as a PWA.
A site opening as a PWA just opens in its own separate instance of the browser. It can basically be any site (at least I think so). Chrome etc just lets you add sites that explicitly say they work as PWAs.

That's interesting because it works really well. In Brave it's under tools > create shortcut. I think it's the same in Chrome (Google software not permitted on my machine). Maybe there is some further possible functionality with PWA's?
