Is Javascript enabled by default in the built-in PDF viewer?
-
If yes, then how do I disable it without disabling javascript in the entire website?
-
@GiantStepsDubstepRemix Apparently it is enabled by default (I loaded a local PDF file with javascript). I expect that you will have to disable JavaScript for the site.

Well, that's problematic indeed, I hope it'll be fixed in a future release. Thanks for the answer!

@GiantStepsDubstepRemix The plugin is not made by Vivaldi. The option to disable JS would have to be added by the Chromium project.

Should be easy enough to test, I just searched for "pdf javascript examples" and found:
https://www.pdfscripting.com/public/Free-Sample-PDF-Files-with-scripts.cfm"NOTE: In order to view the scripts used in these files, you must SAVE the files to your system, then open them in Acrobat. Also, some functionality in these files will not operate in a browser- it is usually best to save the files, then open them in Acrobat or Adobe Reader."
So my guess is JS is not enabled in browser PDF viewers.
@Pesala Do you have an sample file for that?

@Pathduck Here is a Calculator PDF. (Link expires on 20/11/2022)

@Pesala Interesting
I guess maybe a subset of JS is enabled, or the sample PDFs on the PDFScriping site use Acrobat-specific JS.

@Pathduck Here is a screenshot from the source file in Serif PagePlus.
