I'm trying to add my google calendar but after selecting google calendar, entering my email address, and then clicking Add account, I'm immediately hit with the error: No calendars found. Check that your credentials are correct and your calendar service has calendars configured.

Should there be somewhere to put in my password?

      On the latest snapshot

Hi, click the add account should open a pop up where you can add your password to verify Vivaldi can access the Google calendar.
Two settings come in my mind in vivaldi://settings/privacy/
Google extensions: Enable Googe Service Tooken
        Default permissions: Enable Popups

Maybe an extension block this, close all tabs, disable all extensions, restart Vivaldi or:
Create a test profile and check there if you get the Google popup.

          I have those settings enabled.
I disabled all extensions and it didn't bring up that authentication prompt.
It works fine in a new profile.

So I have to rebuild my profile to add a google calendar? Hmmm seems like there should be a way to pinpoint where this is breaking...

ok, now it works in my other profile. Opening the calendar in a new profile fixed my profile - it brought up the authentication screen. Thanks!

Many extensions cause strange errors in VIvaldi even disabled, you have to remove them.
Well known are: Cookie related, VPN, Security extensions.
If your profile is really broken it is nearly imposible to repair it, you never know if something else is broken and you run into the next issue another day.
If you use the Vivaldi sync feature you can test this in your test profile, sync first without extensions.
You can manually transfer your profile data from a backuo of your old profile to a nes one.

I spoke too soon. I can't hide calendars that were imported from my (old and no longer used) google tasks. I'm giving up
