Solved Unable to drag extensions / panels to change display order
-
@WhiteNoize Just to be clear, are you doing these exact steps?
- Press and hold โ
- Click and hold the extension icon and start the drag
- Release โ
- Drag extension icon to desired location (needs to be in the extensions container)
- Release the mouse click
I don't have a Mac to test, but as far as I know, those are the steps you need to take.

@nomadic Yes, I'm doing exactly that.
Pressing and holding โ, then clicking and holding the extension's icon and start the drag. The problem is the drag just doesn't happen, as you can see here:
http://u.pc.cd/c8x7BUT! ... Even though I'm on a Mac, I'm a former PC user, and for some reason, I have never been comfortable using the โ key, instead of ctrl on PC. So I've switched the keys in the keyboard preferences, so I can keep my old PC user habit
:
That being said, you know that there are 2 โ keys and 2 ctrl keys on a keyboard, right? I didn't think about it, but I've tried to use the ctrl key on the right-hand side, and it worked! ...
Then I switched back the key assignment to default, just to make sure the left โ key was working properly, and it worked too.
So then, I'm wondering why my "physical" left ctrl key, once assigned the โ function, doesn't work in Vivaldi, as it works on everything else on my computer -
While I didn't swap my โ and โ keys, I did set up a hyper key using BetterTouchtool, and not sure if that is the issue but my right โ key does not allow drag but my left โ key does, just a FYI if anyone is having problems, try both โ keysโฆ
