Delete empty bookmark folders

In my bookmarks The top folder in each category repeats as an empty folder when I expand the bookmark. How do I delete empty folders? Other than manually. I think it must be some kind of bug when importing bookmarks from Chrome. As I deleted all the bookmarks and the imported an html file that was exported from Chrome and there are still duplicate empty folders. But when I open the bookmarks from the Speed dial page there are no empty repeating folders.
Update: I was able to clean up empty folders using the extension - Bookmarks clean up

@nohart Yes, that is a known issue after importing bookmarks.
