New mail notification in the windows tray.

@planetdance I get a new notification pop up when I get an email. Is "Mail Notifications" enabled in settings?

Thanks but it's not what i'm after, i'm used to checking the tray because thunderbird used to do this. In the tray one can see there's new mail regardless of open windows / current focus etc.
Btw i have enable notifications as well as play sound checked but they don't work over here. -
@planetdance I understand better. You mean like an icon, rather than a popup notification.
