A dead bird on VK website
-
When I surf on vk.com website, the Russian social network, from Italy in the last times a dead bird like that suddenly appears; then I reload the page and everything is OK. Why that?
-
@giannilupindo Please check Troubleshooting issues.
If crash is causes by a embedded video and your Windows version is N or KN, install Windows Media Feature Pack.
-
@DoctorG I rather think it is due to an extension (Tampermonkey). My operating system is Windows 10 (v. 21H2).
-
No, it's not due to the Tampermonkey browser extension. I can confirm that after I had disabled it.
-
@giannilupindo I doubt it's Tampermonkey itself, it does no change to pages unless you have enabled scripts for that site.
So check your Tampermonkey dashboard for what scripts are used for VK and disable them. Should be no need to disable Tampermonkey itself.
-
@giannilupindo There is also a problem with the social network Odnoklassniki https://ok.ru/, as soon as the video is loaded, the pages fall, if all extensions are disabled, no changes.

-
@Pathduck No, VK is not controlled by Tampermonkey; anyway I also totally disabled it for a while and the dead bird appeared again.
-
@giannilupindo Then probably it's the same video crash issue happening on
ok.ru
site.Please read:
carefully and report the bug to Vivaldi bugtracker
