I have, for the most part, used Kubuntu. Because of security issues the only way I could install Vivaldi was to use the GPG signed method found under the Help > Desktop > Obtain official builds and check their signatures and basically there are only two basic distro types that are available which, it will come as no surprise, happen to be APT (Debian/xbuntu/Mint, etc) or RPM (RedHat, RHEL, Fedora, etc). And the only other distro that I have tried that was Arch based was Manjaro, but Vivaldi is default on that one, so I never realized how many distros are left in the lurch, if you like, insofar as those that are neither APT or RPM and cannot find the right repository that has a pre-configured version already available say, for example on Discover, or any other GUI repository. Anyway, I got as far, (if you look at the page I mentioned above) as dpkg-sig (the current version of Vivaldi.deb) but could not find any equivalent Arch/AUR/PACMAN/etc for dpkg to tack onto the -sig and the rest of it and I didn't want to settle for a vivaldi snapshot because every time I try them, they are not complete, like it's a Vivaldi-lite. Anyway, I even tried the Manual Setup of the Vivaldi Linux repositories but again, even though it covers the 2 above and the ZYpp (zypper) of OpenSUSE, it is still not Arch. What's a Vivaldi lover supposed to do?

I use native Arch Linux. I don't remember any problems with installation.
I also tried Manjaro. Its repo updates will be a few days slower.
Since EndeavourOS is an Arch Linux based distro, is it possible to try installing Vivaldi in the Arch Linux native way (using pacman to install stable - it's in the community repo, yay to install snap - it's AUR)?

Install V & enjoy it. There's heaps of us here who use either Arch, or Archies, AND V, just fine.

            • decide if you wanna use Stable or Snappie
            • Stable is in the Arch Community repo, so installing it via pacman or GUI is trivial
            • Snappie is in the AUR, ergo can be installed via an AUR-helper [eg, yay, paru, trizen] or via PKGBUILD + makepkg, or via the herecura repo [search our forum; we've canvassed this heaps over the years], or via the wonderful "@npro method" [yay vivaldi-snapshot --editor nano --answerclean All --answerdiff None --answeredit All --mflags --skipchecksums --editmenu].
