Solved Left mouse button stopped working on some UI elements
-
Left mouse button stopped working today on some UI elements. Like pages on Start page, buttons on toolbar, new tab button etc.
Still works perfectly on pages or bookmarks and some settings.
Does anyone know how did that happened and how to fix it?
-
Well it got fixed after computer's restart. But that's weird, why would that happen anyway?
-
@maxoku Hi - I have no idea what could cause this. Maybe 3rd-party mouse-controlling software/drivers?
Have you tried restarting the browser?
Please try the troubleshooting steps:

@Pathduck I've restarted browser many times. I've turned also my app for mouse, didn't help. It worked normally before today, but just stopped working later. I haven't changed anything on my computer.
When I click my left mouse button I see the buttons are being pressed, but nothing happens.

@maxoku No idea. Possibly some glitch with the mouse driver/software and the browser.
If it happens again try to investigate what you were doing when it happened, and try to find a pattern that can be reported as a bug.
Good that a restart fixed it, a system reboot is always a good troubleshooting step

@Pathduck Well I was playing a game, but starting it again doesn't reproduce the problem. Seems it was one shot glitch I guess. I blame Windows
Thanks for trying to help

@Pathduck I started using Vivaldi on Linux Mint recently and this behavior started. It's only Vivaldi. If i jump over to Firefoc there is no issue.

@wjam I would have edited this post for typo had it not happened again.
it's becoming more and more frequent. Also I cannot watch some streaming video content before it starts stuttering. Looking very much like a memory leak>
A shame because it's what i want but it has to work properly
