Vivaldi Mail 1.0: A powerful email client built right into your browser.

@romwell Ctrl+D is assigned to Add Bookmark. You could use something else for that, then assign Ctrl+D to Delete Permanently. (I use Shift+Delete, which is the default).
There is no command for Delete Mail in Settings, Keyboard, Mail.

There is no command for Delete Mail in Settings, Keyboard, Mail.Yes, this is exactly what I am complaining about: I want to be able to assign a shortcut to the "Delete" command (which moves an email into the Trash folder), which is currently not possible.
The "permanently delete" command isn't doing the same thing; it bypasses trash.

@WildEnte Can we at least have the "Vivaldi Settings: Feeds > Newsfeed Accounts" synced? Also, mail accounts as well?
It seems to me rather asinine to have to manually reenter all that information on every machine/reinstall.
Thanks!

Can we decouple RSS feeds from mails? I want to use RSS in vivaldi but everytime I do it tells me I have dozens of unread messages but it's all RSS stuff so I end up not using the RSS feature.
-
@netviva Yes, turn off notifications for new feeds under Settings > Feeds.
Under Settings > Mail you can also remove the Feeds folder from the Mail Panel. This way Feeds and Mail will be two separate things, how I like it too

That's a lot data etc..Security,Security,Security. I'll wait and see

This isn't really what I'm looking for. The status bar icon for mail still says I have a bunch of unread messages, but even with rss notifications disabled and feeds folder disabled from settings the unread feeds increase the message counter, so I still have no way of knowing if my unread messages are emails or rss news, also I want to get notifications for new feed news, I just don't want the feed system to interact with the mail system in any way.

Are there plans to bring the RSS Reader to Vivaldi on Android?

Hi, I have two questions:
-
I have IMAP set up. How can I create a local folder where I can save the mail on my computer?
-
How can I import mail from other mailboxes into Vivaldi?

Not currently possible. I'm still waiting for flexible mail import/export before I can switch fully to Vivaldi - for me this is the biggest remaining problem.
I've been using and testing Vivaldi mail ever since the first preview, but without a safe export/import method I still can't dump Opera (my mail) and Thunderbird (my wife's mail).
Edit: not complaining, but I still find it a bit odd they included slightly flawed import of everything from a couple of other mail clients yet never a basic mailbox import/export - which seems much easier and more useful.

@Pesala Thank you for your reply!
However, this way you can only create an imap folder, so the mail you put in there will also take up space on the mail server. I was thinking of a solution like local folders in Thunderbird: mail placed there is stored only on the computer. -
Hello! thanks for the new product. there is one problem. if the mail server has a self-signed certificate, then it is not possible to connect to it, because such a certificate cannot be added to exceptions, as in other mail clients.

A already reported issue in internal bug tracker.
VB-74564 "M3 does not recognize self signed server certificates" - Confirmed.Yes, there is a need to override such broken SSL certificates.

@ElenaMorini please open a new topic about issues you encounter. If the connection cannot be established, a firewall or virus scanner may interfere with the connection
Edit: I just saw that you have already opened a new thread here https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/96546/constant-problem-with-server
