Vivaldi 5.3: Tweak and tune your browser with the new Editable Toolbars.

@doctorg: ah great, I jumped on the update when Vivaldi offered it and now I can't use it anymore on my main PC... wonderful...
I guess I'll disable auto updates and check myself from now on..
-
So in Chromium 101 and/or 102 more things got broken:
- the flag #fill-on-account-select seems to already make its comeback
- disabling JavaScript has no effect (always active, now also requires 3rd party to achieve)

Updated a few machines -
I just opened this page in Opera 12.18. It's incredible how it still works so good. Still not late for someone to save Presto engine. There is not so much new stuff in web standards lately...
-
@senja First of all it is property of that chinese company, secondly it was leaked to the dark web some time ago, not a very smart idea licensing or buying it, excluding the titanic amount of work it would require to bring it to todays "standards", security wise and so on, and not just rendering a couple of webpages right.

@npro Display Trash Can ! I didn't know that option, and that was exactly what I was looking for ..!! Thank you

In Mail, under context menu "Move", subfolders are now not listed as "Folder.Subfolder" but just as "Subfolder". This is confusing for several reasons:
- There may be subfolders with the same name but in different folders.
- The way I usually look for a subfolder is by looking for its folder name first. This completely messes up the way I have to look for a folder now.
-
It says for me that "You're up to date!" and I'm at v5.2.2623.48, "Check for Updates" doesn't show me the new version. At the moment, the only option is to download the installer from the download link and install it.
I have waited like over 8 hours that it will be updated in the upstream, but still no changes.
FYI, I'm using the Windows 10. -
@sbv95 , I think it's because of an issue that caused several crashes for Windos user. The devs currently try to fix it. Better is to wait a bit more for the update.

It was pulled also at least from their linux deb repo. I saw the update
readyavailable to install in my linux mint "update manager" but some time later it wasn't available anymore (I didn't update it because I saw the crash messages here). -

We do love customization! Any chance of allowing users to customize what mouse chords do? Right now they're hardcoded to navigate back and forward.
-
@jplanvers Vote for Customize Rocker Gestures.
-
@pesala: I did, back in 2019.
My first post about rocker customization in vivaldi was in 2015. I'm not holding my breath!
-
@thomasp: I don't think the initial question was answered though. Especially after last time, it's very surprising to see this happen again right out of the gate.
Either it was another case of a major issue (somewhat incredibly, despite a couple months of testing) only coming to light on the day of release(!) or there happened to be a post-RC change that did it (also, what are the odds on that one), or something else. Someone should know.

Mine has no update
-
@bswn Updates are disabled for now. Download the installer from the blog and run it.

not a very smart idea
Yeah but ya just gotta admit that recycling Presto is a really innovative brand-new idea that somehow
nobody
ever thought of posting about in this forum, ever before! -
On fossapup 9.5 puppy linux 64 just updated to 5.3.2679.36 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit) and am experiencing no crashes and everything appears to run as sweet as a well oiled machine.
Thanks for the update .

it's cool!
