Unsolved Auto-discovery of Email Servers for AOL Webmail Failed
-
I was in the process of setting up my Vivaldi Browser based email client. Just observed a quirk that it failed to detect the email servers for AOL.IN.
Can support add those servers to the web service database?
Update. I inadvertently posted this thread in Vivaldi/Windows. Later observed that there is a specific section for Vivaldi/Email. I was about to request moving the same and noticed @Pathduck had already done it. Kindly accept my humble thanks and gratitude for the same.

Just use the
aol.com
standard mail servers, the.in
servers are just DNS aliases to these.
https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mailI don't use AOL mail but I think you have a
@aol.com
address you can enter to make auto-discovery work as well. -
@Pathduck It fails through Vivaldi whereas works on AOL Interface
I just checked through Thunderbird which uses oAuth and connects. Is it possible for Vivaldi to use oAuth for this account?

I tried with Thunderbird and it worked fine for my [email protected] with the settings
imap.aol.com 993 SSL
smtp.aol.com 465 SSL(as listed in AOL article here https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail)
whereas Vivaldi faces this issue
