Help - Why wont Adobe flash player plugin work?
I cannot get the adobe flash player plugin to work in Vivaldi. When I open plugins it shows it as installed and enabled (I even checked the box for "always allowed to run") but when I am on a website that tries to use the plugin I just get a spinning wheel. Does anybody know what is going on? Thanks for the help!
Please check this:
1. Download Flash Player 21 for Opera and Chrome PPAPI from https://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/otherversions/
Problems? Please read https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html
2. Test plugin on site https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html
What does the Check now show?
3. Which Mac OS?
4. Which Vivaldi?
Thanks! That solved the issue. I didn't realize there was a different version of adobe flash for chromium based browsers.
I have tried the steps that are mentioned in a few of the posts here, but to no avail.
i still do not see the flash plugin in the list when accessing vivaldi://plugins and flash still displays as disabled when viewing the "About Vivaldi" Page, :S
Strangest thing is that it was working great until yesterday when it spontaneously stopped across all my devices, Mac, Linux and Windows.
I am running Sierra OS and Vivaldi is version 1.4.589.38 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
And please check this:
Scroll to section Plugins
Check if Plugins have to be activated by user on every page or running all plugin content
I cant check yet, but may be older unsafe Flash plugins will be deactivated in browser.
Please update to Pepper Flash Player 23.
Looks like you're my new Hero Gwen,
the chrome flash plugin was not set to always allowed to run, enabling that has meant I'm back up and running.
Thank you muchly
