Help - Why wont Adobe flash player plugin work?

I cannot get the adobe flash player plugin to work in Vivaldi. When I open plugins it shows it as installed and enabled (I even checked the box for "always allowed to run") but when I am on a website that tries to use the plugin I just get a spinning wheel. Does anybody know what is going on? Thanks for the help!

Thanks! That solved the issue. I didn't realize there was a different version of adobe flash for chromium based browsers.

I have tried the steps that are mentioned in a few of the posts here, but to no avail.i still do not see the flash plugin in the list when accessing vivaldi://plugins and flash still displays as disabled when viewing the "About Vivaldi" Page, :S
Strangest thing is that it was working great until yesterday when it spontaneously stopped across all my devices, Mac, Linux and Windows.
I am running Sierra OS and Vivaldi is version 1.4.589.38 (Stable channel) (64-bit) -

the chrome flash plugin was not set to always allowed to run, enabling that has meant I'm back up and running.
