Toolbar customization, settings reset and disabling the autoplay of videos – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2679.3
-
"Back" media key regression still not fixed.
-
@Vort It works fine for me. Tell us more.
-
@Pesala do you mean that physical Back key on your keyboard work like back button in UI?
-
@Vort Yes. I have a Dell multimedia keyboard. Back/Forward are both working fine
-
Just an observation, an odd one that makes me giggle: The "crash on launch" bug came with this snapshot!
Don't know if it's my computer/system or the install... Patience is a virtue, they say.
-
@Pesala thanks for testing.
I use virtual media keys: tilting of my mouse wheel is bound to Back action with X-Mouse Button Control.
It was working fine until several releases ago something changed in browser.
I can see that WM_APPCOMMAND message is arriving to browser window, but nothing happens next. -
@atlemo said in Toolbar customization, settings reset and disabling the autoplay of videos – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2679.3:
@sjudenim: Do you have any custom CSS enabled? I'm unable to reproduce this.
Yes but it wasn't a problem with the previous build.
I've gone ahead and made some changes that have fixed the issue
-
Trashed the installed app, restored the previous (from downloads dmg) and used Check for Updates to re-install...
Looks good to go!
-
So I had to allow autoplay because I can't use YouTube with these issues:
- video pauses when you trying to change volume by arrow keys
- video pauses when you trying to change volume by volume slider
- video pauses when you trying to mute video
Hope it will be fixed in the next Snapshot
-
This snapshot seems to have broken the "Move tab - to new window" function.
-
@DoctorD Workshere
-
@DoctorD Works as expected, for me...
To new window first, and then tab context menu there!
But I seem to remember...an option to move to other profiles' windows, too...?
-
@OakdaleFTL I'm using Windows 10, Vivaldi 64 bit. In the screenshot above, Move Tab to window with 15 Active Tabs would work. But, nothing happens, for Move Tab to New Window.
-
@DoctorD OS shouldn't matter... But, honest! I moved the tab from the window with 16 tabs, first...
If you test like I do, trash the app and re-install... (Ahem! I mean recycle-bin it!)
I do recall it not working first time out the gate... But it was something else that had me re-install... (I'll look for my post about that, man-yana!) -

As we're getting closer to the next release, we've made a new Snapshot for you to test. Check it out!
