@Tovareno The Sync Password is the same as in forum if you use same account for Sync.
But encryption password to open the sync data locally in browser can not be retrived.Had you previously saved in Sync settings the Backup Encryption Key to get access to Sync data in case of reinstall?
Yo do not have a daily backup of Windows user data? And not written down encryption password?

@DoctorG how do i say this without looking like a dummy .-.
i didn't ... this means i have to keep trying till i remember, right? *sad noises -
@DoctorG what are the requirements for creating that password?? maybe with that i can remember... do you know??
-
@Tovareno Not same as username, minimum 12 chars as i know, but may be i remember wrong for lenght.
Try the same for Sync and encryption password as in forum. If you had used a different for encryption password you are lost in many tries, but that will not hur as the encryption password is used only on your PC. -
@DoctorG okidoki, ty dude... i will

@Tovareno See:
https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/sync/#Encryption_password
"The password needs to be at least 12 characters long and you can use any letters, number and characters in it."Are you absolutely sure you chose to delete profile data when uninstalling Vivaldi? The default option is to not delete user data, which should keep your profile intact. Maybe you're just confusing the location of the data, like if you had a Standalone install earlier.

@Pathduck i had to delete everything when uninstalling it because of the malware i had inside the vivaldi files... that's why... but the character requirements is helpful... ty
-
@Tovareno OK that's too bad, and too bad you did not have any backup...
Next time you suspect "malware" in Vivaldi please report to the forum instead of panicking and deleting everything. Very often it is not malware and often it can be resolved without deleting files. Malware cannot usually get into browser files, might be just a malicious extension that can be easily removed.

@Pathduck thats true... it came from an extension called y2meta, and my antivirus located the malware inside the vivaldi file and it was hidden... even after activating hidden files didn't let me see it... thats why i did that .-. i'll try remembering what my password was because i'm a graphic designer and i had like a WHOLE BUNCH of useful pages and i really really dont want to lose them... its sad
-
@Tovareno Have you checked your "Recycle Bin" after deleting files?
-
@Pathduck yep, nothing
