Mouse pointer offset vertically when scrolling
-
I noticed some time ago that when I'm scrolling by clicking the mouse wheel and moving the mouse down (or up), the mouse hover effects trigger about 200 pixels below the mouse pointer's position (eg. on this forum the topic below the one the mouse pointer is over will be highlighted).
Vivaldi 5.3.2658.3 x64 on Windows 11, Windows running at 225% DPI

@ender85 Hi - I'm unable to reproduce this here, Vivaldi 5.3 Snapshot on Windows 10. Maybe it's a Win11-only issue.
The scroll hover appears at the point of the mouse cursor:

This is Vivaldi launched with--force-device-scale-factor=2.25
to make scaling 225%Does it happen in other browsers like Edge/Chrome/Opera/Brave or Firefox for instance?
Are you using some kind of special mouse software, like Logitech SetPoint or similar?
Have you gone through the troubleshooting steps including testing in a clean profile?

Your video doesn't show the problem - here's one that does (pay attention to which topics get the highlight and at the avatar tooltips):
https://nc.simoncic.si/index.php/s/ZGdyM5SNritEdNwI also reproduced the problem on two other computers, both running Vivaldi 5.2.2623.41, one at 125% and the other at 200%.
As for other browsers, it doesn't happen in Edge and Firefox, and I'm not using any special mouse software. The Vivaldi install on one of the computers (the 125% DPI one) was completely fresh.

@ender85 Hi, looks like I misunderstood your description. I thought you were talking about the cursor itself. The video helped explain what the issue is. I've seen a similar report earlier, their video shows it well:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/60217/scroll-issue-middle-mouse-clickAs pointed out in the topic, it's not related to DPI scaling but the height of the Vivaldi UI on the top. Easy to see if you go full screen (F11), the hover will work as expected.
So a bug with how Vivaldi handles the UI in relation to the page. Looks like it was already reported, but it's old I suggest reporting it again and make sure to describe the issue in detail and exact steps to reproduce in a clean profile.
Please read:
carefully and report the bug to the Vivaldi bugtracker
