Bug fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2656.3
-
I don't see it listed in changelog, but seems that not being able to resize the browser's search bar has been corrected in this release.
-
Ooh, is this new?

@legobuilder26 previous snappie
[Search] Make override of default search engines by extensions fully opt-in -
[Panel] Left floating panel is overlapping content (VB-88372)
I'm not sure why people were complaining about that one. It worked the way a floating panel should, now it's back to partial floating and shifting content. I much preferred the way it was working in the last snapshot

With the default lables being added for mail I ran into a minor issue, and probably an edge case.
One of the default labels is 'Important' and it is coloured red.
I already have a label called 'Important' for my mail. This label still exists but does not have a colour.
All of my previously labeled 'Important' (uncoloured) emails are now displayed with the 'Important' (red) label. However, when I filter by the label clicking on the 'Imporant' (red) label shows no results, but clicking on my old 'Important' (uncoloured) label filter shows the emails.
So, while the filtering based on the label is done properly, it seems like the display of the label on the emails is using the red colour for both labels with the same name.

There's something wrong with panel's closes button ("X"). I've reported a bug:
Closing panel with button collapses whole sidebar (VB-88852)After further investigation, it seems to not happen all the time. However it happens always when I try to close a web panel this way. After that, regular panels are broken too.

[Mail] Allow moving messages between accounts (VB-88735)
Ooh! That one is very interesting...
Archiving my mail to an offline account might now be possible - one step closer to migration from Opera. (Now I need real control over the import/export of messages.)
-
There was an unrelated bug. Has been fixed and pushed to main internally.

@ugly
Ah, good catch. Have you filed a bug for this?
Is your Important label one you made within Vivaldi? -
Mail] Allow moving messages between accounts (VB-88735)
@mossman maybe I'm particularly stupid today (or I've been dropped on the head again ) but I don't see how to do this. Can't drag and drop a message from the index and can't CTRL-X/CTRL-V or anything either.
-
@mossman It's in context menu for now.

Ahhh.. got it thanks.
Ha ha! I moved a test message from Hotmail to Vivaldi.net - and now I discover I literally can't move anything out of my Vivaldi.net mail account! The context menu says "(empty)".
Hmm. weird - in GMail I can move some messages, but others show empty again. Should I file a bug report?

Is your Important label one you made within Vivaldi?I filed the bug report: VB-88854
Yes, the 'Important' label I created was created in M3.
-
@mossman
Yes, please. Could you test a bit more and see if it's reproducible on a new profile? Is it just some messages on certain folders or only in certain accounts etc. -

Yeah, ugh... looks like a blotch. Here ya go:
/* Toggle extension button */ .toolbar-extensions button[title^="Toggle"] svg path { d: path("M10 13l3.634-3.634c.504-.504 1.366-.147 1.366.566v6.137c0 .713-.862 1.07-1.366.566l-3.634-3.634z"); opacity: .5; }
Play with opacity/color for preference.
Oh and devs - please make sure all elements like buttons etc have specific class names so we don't need to use ugly attribute selectors...

I agree, when the entire site is visible under the entire panel in transparency mode, it looks right from a visual point of view. And not like what is now ... one piece of the picture is from the Vivaldi theme, and the site is visible in the sliding menu of the panel. It looks very strange.
Well, at least the hole was fixed in the junction between the sidebar with icons and its pull-out menus VB-88641

I have a feeling it only seems to work for messages found in [user]@[server]/Inbox
It doesn't work for sent mail and it doesn't work for [user]@vivaldi.net /INBOX
[edit: now to clean up that new profile I had to make - luckily it was easier than expected to make a profile and quickly add a couple of mail accounts]

The icons to exist fullscreen have disappeared, even after scrolling down. To exit fullscreen with the mouse now I have to use double-click. That cannot be intended, surely?
1920x1080 monitor. 105% UI zoom. OK at 100% UI ZoomI can confirm this. It's a regression in this snapshot. Looks like UI zoom messes with the viewport (or similar).
Please report the bug
