Solved Search Settings Help
-
Hello,
When I type in a word to search at DDG, Brave, Google search engine web page it also copies this word in the Vivaldi Address bar typed history, except it does not do this for Startpage.I'm not sure when this started but I don't recall seeing this before. I'm using snapshot right now. This does not happen in the Stable version.
Does anyone know where the setting for this is? Thanks
Here is a picture of my settings

@troypulk Do you mean this?
That's been there for a long time. However in the latest stable there's a new option I've not noticed before:
If you uncheck that it goes away
I tried to get a screenshot of the address bar but I was not able to do it.
Tip: To screenshot stuff that disappears on mouse activity use
Alt+PrintScreen
and crop the image in your favourite image editor -
@troypulk Hi - Far as I know, it's "always" saved the search queries in History. The Starpage searches don't show up because they use POST requests.
Are you able to describe your issue more clearly, maybe with screenshots? Also good to test by installing an older release as Standalone to test when the behaviour might've changed.

Thanks,
I was afraid I was not being clear, thanks for letting me know.I tried to get a screenshot of the address bar but I was not able to do it.
This issue does not happen in the Stable version, where is the archive for the snapshot located?
Thanks again

Thanks for your help,Yes, the top picture is what's happening.
It's fixed now thanks to you, I was looking in the wrong place for the settings.
I did not look in the "Address bar" section I was looking in the "Search" section.
Thanks again.
