@ruarí Don't you have a weekend?
-
One would hope so ... though, looking at the changelog within a day at both desktop and mobile, it seems that everyone at vivaldi is working on weekends these days.
Is it so critical to meet this release cycle?!
Maybe you have agreed to all take Mondays off instead, but if you have not, please don't overdo this. It does not sound like a healthy attitude and you all deserve some time off. -
@stardepp What is this "week end" of which you speak?
-
@jumpsq Don't worry, all the fixes where completed by Friday.
-
@ruarí The weekend was supposed to be for recreation.

@ruarí The weekend was supposed to be for recreation.
Exactly. And people who recreate do not poodle around browser forums.
-
@stardepp Recreation is what I do every day… on the commute.
More seriously I was out with my kids today at the playground most of the day (hence the image on the desktop snapshot. Although not my imagine it was a reference to that).
-
@jumpsq What are you doing here my friend?
-
-
@jumpsq Nah… she is also at home. Gleefully mocking me because she got her snapshot out before me.

As you can see in this recording (https://imgur.com/4Fv4Sls), I'm translating this block of text from English to French. I can copy the English text but not the French translation. Bug or limitation?
-
Nice to see improvements I suggested in previous blog-post: translate swap button etc...
It would be nice to have additional translation features like Google Translate has:
- Definitions of the word
- Examples of the word
- Synonyms on both sides
-
I don't know if this is a regression issue, but I just noticed that Reader View (Simplified View) doesn't seem to work as expected. The Help article states:
Once [Reader View is] enabled, you’ll see a prompt (Show simplified view) on the bottom of the screen whenever Reader View is available for a web page. In case you saw the message, but didn’t enable it before the message disappeared, scroll back to the top of the page and the option to switch to Reader View will be displayed again.
In my experience, scrolling to the top of the page does not re-display the option.
Additionally, the notification doesn't seem to work when
Desktop site
is selected. -
@redviv I'm unable to reproduce that here. I can select the translated text without any issues (tested in the 2620.31 Snapshot on an Android 9 phone). Did you try performing any troubleshooting?

Good day!
I found a small problem - in the mobile version on android, in the reading list function, there is no way to return from the read state to the unread state, as it is in the desktop version ..
It is only possible to "select" and "delete" or "open in new" and "open in private tab" after marking as read.
Can this item be completed? There is also no sorting by added tabs. There is not enough ability to manually drag them, sort them, as it is convenient for the user. It would also be nice to implement something similar to grouping, as you have implemented with tabs, to automatically group by links, for example, or the ability to group them yourself. It is clear that this will complicate and possibly pile up the functionality that was conceived to be much simpler. But fix at least the mobile version with read marks and add the ability to arrange in manual order
The best browser, I have been using it for more than three years, you are the best, thank you! -
