Solved New tab extension blocks history, bookmarks, notes and calendar pages

@nomadic said in New tab extension blocks history, bookmarks, notes and calendar pages:
What extension are you using?
Using https://tabliss.io
But where is the problem to fix the bug?

@midoni Recently helped someone else with the same extension. Thought that thread would be merged here. Guess I probably should have flagged it.
@nomadic said in tabliss extension breaks bookmarks?:
This is an old bug
that I thought was fixed. It could be a regression or maybe the fix never actually happened.
See this thread for a workaround and use this URL for the tabliss extension:
chrome-extension://hipekcciheckooncpjeljhnekcoolahp/index.html
But where is the problem to fix the bug?
Not sure.
Sometimes bugs are more deceptively tricky to fix than we can imagine or there just hasn't been enough time to get around to fixing it. With limited developer time available, priorities have to be made and sometimes a bug with a known workaround might not get the same attention as a critical security bug would.

Thanks, but doesn't work.

@midoni It worked for me the other day.
Did you put that URL in the places mentioned in the solution post?

No, just loaded that page.
Will try to set in the places.
Set it and now it works. Thank you very much!

History doesn´t appear when I access it

@gianvr Are you using a new tab page extension? If yes, that is an old bug, but it has an easy workaround.
See this thread.
Just tell us which new tab page extension you use, and I or someone else can help you find the workaround URL needed.

@nomadic I use the extension Momentum

@nomadic worked, thanks

This may be fixed, at least partially, in 5.4. You can visit the bookmarks, calendar, history, and notes pages with the new tab page set to
controlled by extension
, but the startup options might still be broken. You can use the startup option
Last Session
without issue andHomepage
andSpecific Pages
as long as they aren't the start/new tab page. Using theStart Page
option or settingchrome://newtab/
as a specified page will lead to a startup with a blank page, but all new tabs work correctly.Might need a new bug report since it is a new broken behavior.
