Is it possible to NOT sync the selected theme? And should Search Engines sync?
-
I use two different devices, a Windows laptop and a Mac laptop.
I am fine with almost everything synchronizing, but I want to use different theme settings on both devices. It seems like there is no way to exclude Themes from the sync, there's just a generic option for "Settings." I do still want other Settings to sync if possible, just not the Theme that I've chosen.
The other thing I noticed was that Search Engine settings as defined on the "Search" portion of settings do not seem to sync. Is this by design, a known issue, or a "won'tfix"?

@bradenmcg Sync is work in progress.
Go to
vivaldi://sync-internals
to see a list of settings that are synchronised. Five search engines are, but I guess that custom search engines are not included.Themes could use a lot of bandwidth and storage. You can export and import themes to share them.

@pesala according to
vivaldi://sync-internals
, Themes are being synchronized, or at least the current / active theme is.I want to turn off Themes sync, but keep syncing everything else. I can not see a way to do this in the Settings screen.
On my Mac (where I initially setup Vivaldi and turned on sync), I have a bunch of extra Search Engines defined so I can instantly jump to Amazon, or Google Maps, or Google Images, with search keywords in the address bar. But those Search Engines did not make it over to my Windows installation of Vivaldi, so I am not sure if this is a bug or working as expected.
[edit]
I see from your link about Search Engines that it appears to be a frequent feature request, so I'll just assume "working as expected" for now on Search Engines.
