GDPR Compliance

Why isn't Vivaldi General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive 2009/136/EC (ePR) compliant?
I see the vivaldi.com server is based in the US and sends user data to the US. Shouldn't it be based in Iceland?

@yakov18 The server itself is not US but the proxy is CloudFlare and this is a US company.
As i know for my country (DE) transfer of data (f.ex. cookies, IP logging, etc.) without any consent and information is IMHO not allowed by EU-GDPR.

@doctorg According to Vivaldi.com,
Is Vivaldi compliant with EU regulations on the use of cookies and online tracking: Not compliant
Domain name: vivaldi.com
Server location: United States
Cookies, in total: 1313 instances of user data being sent to the USA.
Vivaldi.net is different though

@yakov18 said in GDPR Compliance:
According to Vivaldi.com
Where did you read about or test the GDPR compliance of Vivaldicom website?
//edit: OK, i see you mean: Youtube. -
OK, i see you mean: Youtube.
What are you talking about?
Regarding CloudFlare: yes, both vivaldi.com and vivaldi.net use CF and it was said before that this would not be changed (see also).
Regarding vivaldi's privacy policy: you can find it at https://vivaldi.com/privacy/community-privacy-policy/ for both vivaldi.com and vivaldi.net.
Why isn't Vivaldi General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive 2009/136/EC (ePR) compliant?
I would certainly argue that CloudFlare cannot be compliant with the GDPR, but I would like to know how you exactly came to this conclusion, as you did not mention CloudFlare and the privacy policy says otherwise.

@jumpsq I guess related to EU-GDPR there is no informed consent as described in https://gdpr.eu/gdpr-consent-requirements/
And CF have some sub-processors of their data in the USA as written at https://www.cloudflare.com/gdpr/subprocessors/
I reported my concerns to web team and they will check this.
