So many fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2603.6
-
Nice, where did the speed came from, now sites loading is at the end and than done, i hope this will remain in 5.2.
Center position on bookmark selection, very nice.
One thing is missing, CTRL on folder click to open all, that would be great for bookmark bar.
If this will keep up, maybe i'm going off FF browser.
Chrome is doing flickering on slo-tech.com but in Vivaldi works great. -
Entirely yawn for my use-case, but interestingly novel all the same.
-
At least the new snapshot doesn't crash when creating a new profile!
Now for the real test...
The bloomin' Rose works again. (For how long?) -
@oakdaleftl 42'.
-
@guigirl (Avoiding deep thoughts...)
On the bright side: A fresh profile restores the tab stack thumbnail pop-up display to "normal".
And somehow makes the keyboard shortcut for Close Tab Stack functional...but only in the 1st position!
Curious... -

it looks pretty good imo
Even if it was made beautiful, what purpose does it serve?

@shifte said in So many fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2603.6:
Thumbnails are broken except for the leftmost (or top).
And that's only when you have accordion stacks. If you have two level stacks or compact stacks, the stack thumbnails never work, regardless of position.
I also can't seem to be able to move the position of the accordion stack, not even with the window panel.
-
@gif2d That's an old bug, I'm afraid. Even before this snapshot, private windows have always ignored that checkbox when opening sessions in them.

For my Linux Snappie, with all three stack modes, i do still get the active tab-in-stack thumbnail on hover... but not all the others in the stack.
I hope the next Snappie comes much sooner than another three weeks, & fixes the immovable tabs & missing thumbnails bugs.
Otoh, given all these ongoing tab management PITAs, maybe this is the ideal time to start again via designing native TST... & i am not being ironic.

I believe this is what you were referring to?
Yes.
-
@pathduck said in So many fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2603.6:
I should report it
Yes, please report to bug tracker, i could not find a tracker entry for the issue.

Yeah, I also get that. @OakdaleFTL mentions that making a fresh profile fixes the tab stack bugs... but that's not an ideal solution, imo.
If this bug were to make it through to the stable branch, it would be unreasonable to ask everyone to make a fresh profile to fix tab stack thumbnails.

making a fresh profile fixes the tab stack bugs
Oh this is truly excellent news. I feel that the 4,241 replacement profiles i've had to create since Feb 2015 are just not quite enough...
-
@altcode Let's put that fixes in quotes, 'k?
making a fresh profile fixes the tab stack bugs...
But only in the 1st position...
If this bug were to make it through to the stable branch
Nobody'd use it...

@pathduck Was confirmed.

with this snapshot I can't stack tabs from the same host dragging them, they remain unstack. I can merge them with the "ctrl+click" to select the host though...
-
@bettybop Confirmed here.

@pesala I don't know, but people seem to like brave's version
