Nothing sick imo, the only sickness is the stockholm syndrome. You are all responsible for this mess by supporting energetically or passively this company despite their well-documented (up to the highest court) filthy tactics since the '80s.
Stockholm syndrome assumes wilful ignorance on our part. That's false. It's just ignorance. Most people have no idea about the shady/immoral things big companies do; things have become way too convenient and in this day and age and there's a deluge of information about literally everything to the point that it becomes impossible to be aware of the pitfalls of every product one uses.
It disappoints me as well though. -

Yes, the problem still persists. We thought that getting delisted from the SORBS blocklist would be enough, but turns out that Microsoft is using additional measures to determine whether to deliver emails to their users or not.
We just heard back from Microsoft and, for the time being, they're refusing to let emails sent from Vivaldi.net through.
We'll keep working on it, but it's hard to say, how long it can take until we hear some positive news.
We apologise for the inconveniences this is causing.@Ayespy, why does Microsoft behave like this?
A rogue who thinks evil of it?Is this really against Vivaldi, or is there a comprehensible reason?
For example, are spam mails sent from Vivaldi more often than from other email providers, despite phone number authentication? -

@Ayespy, why does Micosoft behave like this?
I would only be guessing. In the greater scheme of things, Microsoft doesn't care if little companies live or die - but the more of them die off, the easier life is for MS. And of course if Vivaldi users can't communicate then it makes it harder to get enough users to be profitable.
On the other hand, Jon S Von Tetzchner beat the pants off of Microsoft in court and cost them tens of millions of dollars with the EU forcing them to make IE removable, and to offer a choice of browsers (including Opera) in a menu while setting up a new Windows system. And Vivaldi is Jon's company, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. If there is any corporate memory at MS, then they don't like Jon.

@Ayespy thank you for your assessment.

Any news?

Hi, Microsoft is blocking mails from vivaldi.net, the Vivaldi crew is working on a solution but MS is not much interested to change this.Cheers, mib

@takaishi29 what Microsoft is doing is not a nice story at all.
But it describes Microsoft.

Surely, he cannot send email to me.
Emails sent from Microsoft to Vivaldi are delivered without issues.
But with one side blocking emails, having an email conversation is basically impossible. -
@mib2berlin Thank you. It figures.
-
@mib2berlin Tested it with my own outlook address and it was also returned. I really need to install linux!
-
@jane-n
microsoft is still received by vivaldi. not the other way around. is this true? -
@fiftyfourforty Vivaldi does not block any senders. It receives Outlook, Hotmail, and other MS-branded emails just fine.
-
Yes, as @Ayespy said, we don't block emails sent from Microsoft's email addresses. Microsoft blocks emails sent from Vivaldi.net.
-
-
As of today (6-5-22 10:10AM PST) a message (from Vivaldi) sent to an MS email account successfully reached its destination.
We can only hope this continues to be the case.

@Ayespy 6½ hours later - still working.
(tested two more times after this mornings test)
