Vivaldi webmail service blocked by Microsoft (Outlook, Hotmail, Live)
-
We finally have some good news. Microsoft is no longer blocking Vivaldi.net!!
Though, they did say that it might take up to 48 hours for things to go fully back to normal. We're very sorry that those needing to correspond with Microsoft email users had to experience this issue and we're very thankful for your patience.

Hi everyone, allow me to follow up on this thread as my email to an outlook address has been rejected yesterday. Any tip on what to do since now Microsoft is not blocking Vivaldi anymore?
Below part of the error message. Thanks in advance for any guidance!
Unfortunately, messages from [31.209.137.12] weren't sent.
Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network
is on our block list (S3150). You can also refer your provider to

Unfortunately, the good news I shared in my last post didn't last long
as Vivaldi emails are indeed blocked again from reaching user's who have an email address from Microsoft. I'll let you know as soon as I have any news about the issue.
Thank you for being so patient with us.

As of a few moments ago I also could not send mail to an Outlook account, though I was able to send one to a Gmail account. I was using the web mail and received an email saying my message was not sent, with the error code 550. 7.1.

Good morning!
Wasn't aware of this issue until trying to do a test email from Vivaldi to my Outlook account.
I'll keep any eye on this thread, and await a resolution. Sure it will get sorted soon (hopefully). -
Hi,
I sent my first mail to a few colleagues using Vivaldi but it bounced for one of them. The IP for Vivaldi mail server is on SORBS Spam list. Kindly get your server removed from it ASAP.
You can check the black listing here:

@amsharma Do a report and ask for de-listing vivaldi mail to ensure devs will be aware of the issue https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/

Assuming all was well with Microsoft Email Service message recipients finally after reading the message to this effect recenlty - but as reported since - not so fast (now that I've read the latest intending to post the issue remains).
Yep - getting:
[email protected] (Mail Delivery System) errors once again sending messages to MS Email accounts unfortunately.Hopefully this will at some point be addressed - I've got over a dozen MS email accounts and many that I know use MS for their Email Services as well (it's probably 2nd behind Gmail for that matter in market share).

It is being actively addressed. However, Microsoft keeps going back on their word. They say they have quit blocking us, but days later they are blocking us again.

@ayespy Still blocking today 30 April 2022 at 0900 UTC

As a personal user of webmail I am having the same problem with hotmail addresses in the last few days. I will redirect via a gmail account for the time being.

We finally received some good news from SORBS (the list Microsoft uses) and they said that they have now delisted Vivaldi. As with last time, it can still take some time for things to go back to fully normal.

Just wanted to acknowledge for future onlookers that the problem still persists. Curious to see how long it will take.
-
Yes, the problem still persists. We thought that getting delisted from the SORBS blocklist would be enough, but turns out that Microsoft is using additional measures to determine whether to deliver emails to their users or not.
We just heard back from Microsoft and, for the time being, they're refusing to let emails sent from Vivaldi.net through.
We'll keep working on it, but it's hard to say, how long it can take until we hear some positive news.
We apologise for the inconveniences this is causing. -
@jane-n This is the oppressive power of monopoly. One company literally able to prevent the patrons of another company from communicating. It's kind of sick, actually, if you think of it.
-
Nothing sick imo, the only sickness is the stockholm syndrome. You are all responsible for this mess by supporting energetically or passively this company despite their well-documented (up to the highest court) filthy tactics since the '80s.
-
I work around this issue by sending emails to outlook.com from my Gmail address.
