Calendar Need Better Default Highlighting of Current Day
-
After starting Vivaldi and opening the calendar the current day has a circle around it; this circle isnโt very obvious. Because it isn't obvious which day is marked as the present day, we have to spend a moment searching for the current day.
I suggest the current date be highlighted as after the date is clicked; this is much more obvious. We would spend no time looking for it.

This circle is determined by your theme settings. Have a look at vivaldi://settings/themes/ and maybe try around a bit / test if other themes provide better results
For me with my currently scheduled theme, it's clearly not quite as subtle as in your example.
Regarding your proposal: I think it would be confusing if multiple areas had the same highlighting, especially for those of us mostly working with their keyboard. So at least personally I am pretty happy with the current state and believe that adding a second frame (even if in another colour) could lead to confusion.

@jumpsq Hi. Thank you, I've played a lot with themes and customized mine till I'm happy with it in all other respects.
I'm not sure I understand your description of how the date highlighted as describe would introduce confusion BUT maybe having an option to highlight the date as I suggest would be OK?

I'm having the same problem like @g_bartsch. The cursor line in the calendar panel suffers from the same issue and that bothers me most. With my previous theme it was invisible and I didn't even knew it existed till I accidentally discovered it an hour ago. Playing a bit with the colors I managed to make slightly visible but far from acceptable. The highlighting color is taken from the accent color of the theme and I cannot set a good contrasting one because the window or the tab is also affected.
This is my current setting, the cursor line is barely visible
and here is a nice color for the cursor but really bad for the rest
Ideally, I would be able to set the cursor color independently from the window or tab.

also... it would be great if the cursor would automatically advance as time goes by instead of needing to be refreshed manually...
