Facebook Videos Audio Doesn't play within a Post on Linux Mint. Chrome doesn't have this behavior.
-
Am running 5.0.2497.51 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit) on Linux Mint.
If I go to play a video that's embedded within my normal post stream, it appears to play the audio, but then seems to auto-mute it. If I drill down into the video, it will sometimes play the video's audio, but sometimes, it requires me to "enlarge" it. If I flip back and forth between various view modes, I can most of the time get the audio to play. It works properly on Chrome and Chromium on the same computer. My setting for tabs is "Play All Audio."

@kennyschiff Any public URL to such video?

I believe that this is NOT a Vivaldi problem. I'm using a Chrome Extension called FB Purity. If I disable the extension, the issues goes away.

Do you have a solution yet? I have the same problem, still.

@janiporo
Hi, this thread is 2 Years old and @kennyschiff posted a solution, disable an extension, restart Vivaldi.
Please test this in a private window or the guest view, this except extensions and use the default settings.https://help.vivaldi.com/article/guest-view/
Cheers, mib

I know this, but when I enable it again, audio goes away. I rather be without audio, than without FBP

@janiporo
OK, many Chrome extensions are not working in Vivaldi but it should not block Vivaldi.
