Drag tab to new monitor
-
Hi,
I'm having issues with the tabs using a dual monitor setup.
Normally, in browsers like Chrome, when i drag a tab from the bar to a different monitor, the window goes along and opens in that monitor. But in Vivaldi, if i drag the tab to the new monitor, he doesn't open - in fact, it does nothing.
If i drag the tab in the same monitor that the original window is, i can open the new window with that tab. But dragging the tab directly to the new monitor doesn't do anything.
I know that I can open the window in the same monitor and then drag the whole window to the second monitor, but is a extra step to do... (lazy)
Is this normal behavior, or is there something that can be done?
(using latest vivaldi stable version)Thanks!

@djprmf It works for me if I drag the tab far enough, otherwise, it opens a new window on the same monitor.

@pesala the second monitor have any other vivaldi window open?
The only way for me to work is by having a window already open in the second monitor. Otherwise doesn't do nothing. -
@djprmf My Primary monitor is 1200x1600 Portrait, and my Secondary monitor is 1920x1080 Landscape.
I do have a second window open on the secondary monitor, but I restored it and dropped the tab onto the desktop. If I move the window to the primary monitor, D&D still works fine.
I tested again with the Stable version, with only one window, and again it works fine dragging from Primary to Secondary, or vice versa.
If I drop it close to the right edge of the Secondary monitor, it opens a new window on the Primary monitor. That is the only problem that I can see.

@pesala Nope, still doesn't work.
Here is a video better explain it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohFzdUvttlgI also tried to drag to the edge of both monitors, same result.

Found something that can have impact on this.
The problem appears to be related with the Virtual desktops in Windows 11. I use 3 virtual desktops, and only in the first one is that i can "drag" to the second monitor. If i change to another virtual desktop, doesn't work.
