Solved Steam game trailers only auto-play in a Private Window, not a regular window
-
I noticed that Steam trailers for some games (not all) fail to auto-play for me on page load. This is assuming you're not logged into your account and the "autoplay videos" tick box is on. The console gives the following error:
Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: play() failed because the user didn't interact with the document first. https://goo.gl/xX8pDD
I tried disabling all of my extensions and that didn't help — but the videos do autoplay correctly in a Private Window and in a Guest Window. So I think I'm accidentally blocking it somewhere in my browser settings.
What are some settings that might affect this?

All right, thanks for the tips. I may have to just shelve this problem, as it's a really minor issue anyway.
I tried enabling all of my extensions in incognito, but the trailer still autoplays correctly in incognito (I was hoping that it would break after enabling the faulty extension).
Vivaldi's built-in adblocker is set to No Blocking, and I've tried this with uBlock turned off.
For what it's worth, this is one of the Steam pages that isn't autoplaying for me: https://store.steampowered.com/app/831110/Unconventional_Warfare/
The error in the console that I mentioned in the original post must have something to do with it. But at the very least, it's probably not a Vivaldi bug - the autoplaying works in Vivaldi on my laptop, so it's got to be some obscure problem in my own setup. Thanks for the help anyway.

@3ternal Disabling a extension does not always terminate it.
You need to invest some time and reinstall extension:
- Remove all extensions and restart Vivaldi
- Install next extension
- test video trailers
- goto 3.
and repeat until playing of trailer fails
Then you've got the bad extension.

@3ternal You might want to check the Adblocker settings as well. For more information, please refer to the Troubleshooting issues guide.
If it doesn't help, then please post some links to the pages where the issue occurs.
