I do see the same with the embed being broken tho I am not blocking 3rd party cookies and trying in a private window, looks like they are using an iframe and a widget of some kind to embed the tiktok video on ny mag site

The other site looks like they might be using tiktok's embed code, Vivaldi dev tools console does say
GET https://www.tiktok.com/embed.js net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
