Outlook mail in custom domain setup doesn't complete
-
I'm trying to set up a custom domain that's sitting in Office 365 to get email in Vivaldi. I have another account with an @outlook.com extension that is working and I was able to use that to verify that the IMAP and SMTP settings that I have are correct. However when I try to complete setup it never finishes. I don't see any errors in the console, which could be because the account isn't fully configured yet. Seeing if anyone can offer some pointers on where to go with this next.

@j4ckstraw just a thought ... sometimes systems use pop-up windows to collect user input. Is this possibly the case here? And maybe you have some means (e.g. settings or extensions) that prevent pop-ups from ... well popping up?

@joergp No, I get popups alright as well; I set up a school account that uses gmail and that popup worked as expected.

@joergp when i add my custom domain office 365 account i do see oauth checkbox, activate it, but when i click connect i see a black flash of a pop-up that dissapares after 0.5 seconds and it says error "undefined"

Just created a community account to add to this, since I'm experiencing the same thing.
I had connected an Outlook account to Vivaldi mail and everything was fine for a bit. A login window would open when I first opened the browser.
Yesterday or today, it only flashed a quick black box. I noticed today that I wasn't getting emails.
I tried reconnecting the account, which didn't work. Deleted it, and tried to connect it new, and it won't login via OAth.
Says, Login for outgoing server failed. Server responded with: undefined.

@lexiconvict said in Outlook mail in custom domain setup doesn't complete:
Login for outgoing server failed. Server responded with: undefined.
I get exact the same message when i try to connect to outlook.

Presuming y'all are using the "IMAP" protocol:
Incoming Server: imap.outlook.com
SSL connection: SSL/TLS
Port: 993Are you using the following outgoing protocol settings:
Outgoing Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Encryption Command: STARTTLS
Port: 587 (if no luck - try port: 465).
Enabling: Server requires "verification" (checked to enable) -
@vivalausa O365 support has confirmed the correct settings for Office 365 (not Outlook.com) mailboxes:
Incoming: outlook.office365.com port 993
Outgoing: smtp.office365.com port 587Using Oauth it fails with: “Login for outgoing server failed. Server responded with: Unrecognized command ‘unknown’

@vivalausa I’ve just got off the phone with MS Support and they reviewed the permissions in your Azure App and they’re missing the full scopes and they asked me to update them which I can’t do given I don’t have access to your OAuth configuration.

I can confirm this problem still occurs. Viivaldi version: 5.4.2753.28 (Stable channel) (64 bits)
