Hm, strange, medium.com link is working for me and the German wiki page support it, too.

Does an other browser support reader view and work with this pages?

@nightmaresama Even if the Reader Mode icon is not showing, you can often toggle Reader with a hotkey. You have to set it first, I use Alt+R.

Toggling Reader with hotkey works on the Medium page.
Reader mode icon shows on both Wired and CNN for me.
Reader mode icon is missing on the Wikipedia page.

Please report issues with Reader mode not working to the bug tracker, but make sure to always reproduce in a clean profile first.

I wrote the German page work, not the EN page.
Testing the medium page again it does not work for me, too.
I don´t have a screen shot but a few hours ago it was working.
No idea what happen here.
