Can't Click Browser Resize and Close Buttons when Vivaldi in Full Screen
-
Using Mac Monterey 12.01.1 with M1 chip.
Vivaldi version 5.0.2497.32Vivaldi is not responding as expected when it is sized to fill the window. When I mouse over to click on re-size or close the browser window the animation action displays the red close and green resize buttons, but they cannot be selected. I have to use the minimize command from the Window menu to manage the size of the window.
This has been my experience since the most recent Vivaldi update. I was unable to attach a video showing this issue.

Do you mean ^βF, to exit full-screen mode?
View > Enter Full Screen is a toggle, despite what the menu says...The Window > Minimize selection shouldn't do that... For me, it doesn't. It should place the browser window -icon- on the dock or "into" the application icon, if you've selected that in System Preferences > Dock. (But you can't "dock" a full-screen window, which is essentially a desktop space.) And a simple βM will suffice, which -oddly enough- does, when in full-screen, do what clicking the green button or keying ^βF is supposed to. And what you get....
Curious, eh?I can't reproduce your red light / green light behavior. It works fine for me.
(If you've checked the Use Native Window in Vivaldi > Preferences > Appearance, double-clicking the title bar maximizes the window - called Zoom, which fills the screen with your browser window; it's a toggle too...
And βF10 will toggle the UI -address bar, tab bar, status bar, etc.- leaving you the Vivaldi menus, the title bar and your browser page filling the screen; does the same in full-screen, too)BTW: The Window menu has a typo in the keyboard shortcut... Not in the prefs, just in the menu; no command-key.

Command M works to get Vivaldi out of full screen, thanks. Showing in the screen grab here just to confirm (I tried to upload a short video but the Forum wouldn't all me to) - when I try to click the green dot when in full-screen mode the 3 dots animate to disappear and the start page tab fills the window.

I just tried with Vivaldi > Preferences > Appearance > Native Window unchecked... If you hover the green button until the + appears inside it, it works...sometimes! However, if you use the native window setting it works every time. (And you get the side-by-side capability in non-full-screen windows by click-holding the green button, which non-native windows can't do.)
I also "discovered" that title bar clicking works for non-native windows too.Did you know you can make a window full-screen by invoking Mission Control and dragging the window up among your desktop spaces?
(I've assigned a hot corner to Mission Control via System Preferences; the shortcut is ^β... Handy if you use lots of spaces; the numbered spaces -created in Mission Control, left-most space marked with a + - keep their shortcuts; an intervening named space doesn't interfere. You can navigate from space to space using ^β and ^β. Of course, ^β takes you out of Mission Control, back to your desktop, be it full-screen or not; when used on an application window on a desktop, it displays all open windows -minimized or not- but not full-screen ones...)
Named spaces are just full-screen application windows. When you hover the upper left corner of a numbered space in Mission Control, you'll see an X, which if clicked deletes the space. Hover the upper left corner of a named space shows a tilted > < whose meaning should be obvious, no?
So much good stuff! -
In my case in full screen (not using native window) with user interface zoom at 90%, when hoover mouse over red- yellow-green buttons it does not work, it works over the bottom of the edge of the buttons.
At 100% user interface zoom it works properly.
