I've reset my search engine to Duck Duck Go, but it resets to Bing?

@rvbv You cannot reset a single search engine, or your default engine. You can only reset all engines, which will likely make Bing the default, depending on your region, or choose a different default engine. This you can do in
vivaldi://settings/search/. Just pick your default for normal and private windows at top of this page. -

Hi, I have Duck Duck Go Selected as the Default and the Private Search Engines
also checked, "Keep last Selected Search Engine". When I then go to the Browser
to search, it is being done by Bing.
Very confused -

Hi,
I'm on my PC. I don't get any jpgs only placeholders and have tried a lot of suggestions. When I use a guest profile, everything displays just fine, but not with my own user profile. I just tried to rename folder method. Still no solution. -
@rvbv That is decidedly weird. A new clean standard profile should react the exact same way a guest profile does. Under each comment, over toward the right side, there are the words "reply;" "quote," and image of a thumb with a little number by it, and three stacked dots. If you have a placeholder, then clicking on that should accomplish the upvote.

Would you care to share a link on how to do that? And, what can I expect to have to replace e.g. new User Name Password etc.

Ok, we are in a real pickle here, I desperately need that upvote.
@Ayespy What good is resetting one’s profile when you reintroduce potentially broken parts? Personally I reset to get to a clean state and only use Sync and manual backup of data to get back to speed, nothing from the old profile directly. I don’t think it makes much sense. Even in case you carefully reintroduce every file on its own and check for problems, you are bound to overlook something and then you can start all over.
@RvBv So you don’t see pictures. Two things you can check:
- Visit
vivaldi://settings/webpages/and in the »webpages« section at top, make sure »load images« is set to »always« - A third party adblocker could be the culprit. E.g. ublock has the capability to block all images.
Or use Vivaldi Forum mod. It replaces the thumbs‐up image with an svg and I can finally get that upvote I heavily rely on.

You don't. All you add back is necessary data. Unless your login data file is corrupted (in which case you have to replace it anyway) you should not be re-adding broken parts.

I think you have disabled "Load Images" from the status bar.
