Opening the Panel onwards?
-
Is it possible the make the side panel open onwards (over the desktop), instead of inwards (into the browser screen)?
I use a widescreen display. Most website display their information in the central portion of the screen, with the left/right side a wasteland of bright light.
So I configure my browser window to just cover the centrally area of the screen, with the desktop visible left and right beneath it.Ideally, I'd like to configure the panel to open over the left side of the browser window into the desktop area. Maybe using the Shift or the CTRL key as a modifier key to force it to open outwards.
Thank you.

@td4 Just leave the panel open. Opening the panel won’t make your browser window larger.

I don't want to leave it open though.
FireFox allows "overhang" when using Bookmarks. So it should be possible to achieve. -
@td4 The best I can think of is to enable Settings, Panel:
- Floating Panel
- Auto Close Inactive Panel

Thank you. That's better than a kick in the pants
