Bitwarden Extension unusable
-
I'm not sure why but recently my bitwarden extension has become unusable.
It now opens as a tiny window - see below snip.
I have already tried reinstalling the extension to no avail.

@daveo132 Works for me with 4.3.2439.65 Stable.

Sorry, trying to reply but I'm new so it's making me wait then flagged me as spam for trying to post.
@doctorg
I'm on 4.3.2439.65 (Stable channel) (64-bit)The same by the looks of it.
Works in a web panel but not on a drop down from the extension.
Have tried turning on/off the other few extensions I have to see if its a conflict but no joy.

@daveo132 I do not know whats wrong on your side.
Please check Troubleshooting issues.
Create for a test a extra profile and install only the bitwarden extension. Does that work? -
Just tried on a new profile and the issue persists
EDIT,
Just tested in the latest version of Chrome and the issue is not present there. -
@daveo132 Please read Help us to reproduce the issue carefully and then report bug to Vivaldi tracker.
-
@ahtilang No problems here on Vivaldi 5.1.2567.49 (Stable channel) (64-bit) and Bitwarden 1.56.6.
Did you try a clean profile and is everything up to date?
What Vivaldi version are you using?
Please provide more information. -
@ahtilang
installed Vivaldi a few weeks ago and everything has worked properly, but suddenly stopped working.
So we can presume Bitwarden worked with 5.0 stable. If you will to help troubleshooting you may consider to install bitwarden extension in a standalone (won't mess with the main 5.1 you have) vivaldi 5.0 then report if it works (and you didn't already) the bug to vivaldi and/or to Bitwarden (if they will to help, specifing Vivaldi).
Just to clarify. The main issue is the broken popup dropdown?
(Is not the first time I see that, and sadly is not very clear why/how is shown to users. Also, don't seems to affect anyone. Is very random).
As another user hasn't issue with BW on 5.1 you may try adjusting few settings which could mess with ext popups, like the UI scaling/the native|not native window and so on.
-
@ahtilang As a fix for Bitwarden was released for 5.1 Vivaldi on Android, we may get it for desktop the next days.
-
@ahtilang It might be caused by Windows scaling or Vivaldi's User Interface Zoom. Have you recently changed either of these settings?
Otherwise, you might be able to fix it with a CSS modification.
If you don't have any other extensions with popups, this might work:
.extension-popup { min-width: 375px !important; min-height: 600px !important; }
I can't get the same issue to occur on my install, so I can't say if that CSS will fix it or not. If it just increases the size of the border and leaves the viewable part of the extension popup to that settings button, then you might try this instead:
.extension-popup, .extension-popup > webview { min-width: 375px !important; min-height: 600px !important; }

@nomadic So it seems that VB-39040 strikes again. Tnx for confirmation. Also, the link with Windows scaling could help to squash it soon or later.
If you don't have any other extensions with popups, this might work
If you place the Extension ID in the CSS code you can avoid to break working ones (most of them). [example].
Other extensions which could (or not) be affected.
