Smooth Bookmarks Workflow By ...
-
I've Used Firefox for many years and have been giving Vivaldi a try specifically because it offers a Description window for bookmarks like FF used to. Here are some functions FF (v. 61.0.2 and older) had which I don't see happening in Vivaldi and they were, it would make it a lot smoother to use Vivaldi.
1- With bookmarks in the sidebar, Vivaldi should allow the full title of the bookmark to fully expand by just hovering the cursor over the bookmark title. As it is now the title has to be selected then select Rename to see the full title and even then, one has to slide the cursor to the right. A real time waster.
2- When selecting a bookmark to rename it in Vivaldi, the title should fully expand so selecting where to place the cursor to edit it is easily seen and done.
3- When selecting a bookmark in Vivaldi to rename it or enter into the description etc., the pull-down covers the sidebar area and a whole bunch of bookmarks. The pulldown should open to the side or allow placement/moving by the user (and it remember where that position is for the next time) so the user can see the bookmarks in the sidebar without them being blocked. This way, information in the bookmarks can be seen to enter into a web page if needed.
4- When selecting a web page to bookmark in Vivaldi, one can left-end or right-end with the keyboard, to get to the beginning or the end of the title BUT to insert something copied, the user has to make a precision cursor click to insert/paste it. In FF is was fast and easy to insert/paste as just the keyboard L-End or R-End, then R-click>paste from the pull down. In other words wherever the cursor was as per the position via the keyboard, R-click> paste, inserted it there. No need the re-left click to select where the pasting is supposed to go.
5- This may be a bug: Sometimes if a page is opened via a bookmark, then from that page another page is opened which I want to bookmark which should have a different title, it will have the title of the original bookmark. The page has to be re-loaded for it to show the new title to bookmark.
6- This is much needed: Get the Vivaldi bookmarks Description windows to fill with ALL or what's already in the imported FF bookmarks.
7- If I copy a bookmark into an email or doc I can only copy the link, which sometimes can be huge. It's much cleaner if it would copy the title with the link embedded into it.I hope that helps improve Vivaldi.

Hi,
When making feature requests we try to limit it to just one per post. That makes it easier to
A ) Find duplicates
B ) Easier for the devs to know what to implement
C ) Easier for people to know what they're voting on or when searching for itThanks for your feature request, but because of that I need to close it. Please do keep in touch on the forums if you want to make further individual requests.
